Countrywide is offering a 4.90% APY 3-month Certificate of Deposit. The minimum deposit is $10,000. Its other terms are also very competitive with yields ranging from 4.75% APY for a 9-month term to 4.00% APY for a 12-month term. These are also available in an IRA. Due to the recently feds rate cut, 4.90% APY is currently the highest CD rates in the nation. Interest is compounded daily and credited to your account each month with guaranteed rates for the term of the CD. Monthly interest checks are also available.

There are no fees associated with this account and the penalty for early withdrawal for a 3 month to 12 month term CD would be 91 days of simple interest at the rate paid to the account.
